I say this every year: improved trade details - specific team wants/needs and more media coverage around trade rumors.

Refine the shape of the rink in 2D engine, it isn't the right shape at all.

More emphasis on being able to have career progression - the game feels too heavily based around playing as one team right now

Oh yeah, and organ sounds/goal horns in the 2D engine.
