Easy Town Trades Burmaster for Dark's Cerilli
In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Easy Town Assaultrons have swapped 21-year-old minor league RHP Stack Moneyman and 22-year-old minor league 2B Allen Burmaster to the Dark Bloodworms for 20-year-old minor league RF Ken Click, 19-year-old minor league C Cola Crabtree, 20-year-old minor league RHP Yule Felttip and 26-year-old minor league 1B Zach Cerilli.
The Assaultrons GM Marco Pacheco told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it. It was much easier to do it while we're all sitting around here in Nordhagen Beach and before the Bloodworms head back to Nuka-World."
Synths Recover to Blow Out Nukalurks
The Lexington Synths were the highest seed to lose in the First Round of the 2300 Nuka Cup. Instead of brooding, they came back to blow out the Quantum Nukalurks, 15-0.
Lexington starting pitcher Greg Mardis threw 8.1 innings, allowing just two hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Chris Glass House completed the 9th for the final tally.
Seven different Synths batters homered in the game, making up the making up 10 of the Synths' 15 runs. Lexington hit three homers apiece in the 2nd and 7th innings. Mike Pigeonfoot hit a 1st-inning home run that proved to be the game-winning hit.
The NWL went 0-16 in the 2300 Nuka Cup Tournament. While the league has some talent, it has a long way to go before it can compete well against CBO teams.
