Cy Young was on fire and tosses a no-hitter for the Baltimore Orioles as they beat the Lubbock Brigands 7-0. Young fans 16 batters in the game and it is his first career no hitter as he has continued to improve each season. Tony Perez homered and drove in 3 runs and Luke Voit drove in another 2. Ironically the only walk by Young was to Larry Sheets (IRL Oriole). It was the second no hitter in Orioles history as Eppa Rixey accomplished that feat in 2021 against the Toronto Blue Jays. For Lubbock, it is their 3 time already they have fallen victim to the no-no but first time it wasn't the Richmond Gamecocks or Lefty Grove. Losing pitcher for Lubbock was Bucky Brandon who has a no hitter under his belt this season.
