At the beginning of the season, I wasn't too far away from unlocking Perfect BaL Charles Nagy so I went for it. Thus on Opening Day, the Hosts featured a starting rotation of:
Jake Peavy (BaL 100)
Charles Nagy (BaL 100)
Luis Patino (FL 98)
Bob Groom (SS 94)
Mike Mussina (BaL 96)
And by the time of this writing, having played just over 130 games, there's been some changes. Came and went was SP Jose Mendez (96 NLS). I got him for about 36000 which was something 8k under L10 at the time. Little did I know Mendez's L10 was cratering. For us, he went 4-3 in 11 starts with a 5.11 ERA, 4.49 FIP, 1.63 WHIP. Sure his BABIP was .311 but I thought I'd send him back to the AH to see if I can turn a profit. If not, Mendez does put me at 67% completed to 100 NLS Satchel Page.
On the batter side, after the All-Star Break we bid adieu to Ripper Collins, making the decision based on the three points: 1) we weren't going for Perfect Jimmie Rollins, 2) we simply needed more PP for spec, and 3) we decided to get BaL 100 Paul Goldschmidt.
