Tom Glavine had his A game today as the he tossed a one hit shout in a game where the Chicago White Sox defeated the Bakersfield Red Aces at home by the score of 13-0. Bill Friel hit 2 homers for the winning team and drove in 7 runs as he now has 29 homers and 61 RBI's on the season. Wes Schulmerich had the only hit for Bakersfield in the pounding. Glavine fanned 7 and walked 2 in the masterful outing. Eric Davis added 2 hits and 2 RBI's as well.

It was a landmark day for Casey Stengel as the curmudgeon hit his 300th homer of his career for the Buffalo Bisons as they beat the Spokane Gangsters on the road 8-5. Stengel socked 2 blasts in the game, the second one off of Eduardo Rodriguez was the magical #300. Stengel has hit all of his homers while playing for Buffalo. He drove in 5 runs in that monumental game.
