All of our arbitration eligible players have signed a contract for next year and, for the first time ever, we will not have to go to any hearing! Unless, of course, 3B Wes Fitzgibbons (31-R) throws us a curve ball and accepts arbitration over going free agent. That would stink.....

The following players signed 1 year contracts:

C Don Kern $16,000 $8,000
C Bob Hutson $15,000 $5,000
2B Ken Yockey $52,500 $46,000
LF Fernando Tello $12,500 $8,000

1B Jack Washburn (25-L) signed a 7 year contract worth a cool million dollars. $100,000 for 2008 and then $150,000 for each of the next 6 years. He made $85,000 this year.
