I am new to the game and wanted to start unemployed. My question would be will I receive MLB offers as GM+Manager right away? I'm basically using unemployment as a way to pick a team for me, I was going to sim the first season and then pick a team based on who offered me, but all I'm seeing about this strategy is GM *or* Manager and seems to involve working your way up the ladder.

I would like to start in MLB and do both GM & Manager, just want to make sure this would work or if there's something specific I need to do to ensure I'd get offers from at least one MLB team who has fired their staff during the first season?
