Year 2026 - Season 6 [start of season]
Having spent most of my resources on unlocking Diamond Build-a-Legends Adam Wainwright, Ron Guidry, and Harry Heilmann, I plied my reserves for improvements on defense. The first to return Roy Campanella (SE 93). He last played for us in 2022, back in Stone, where he slashed .275 / .327 / .463. More to the point, his caught stealing percentage was 28.6 and had a positive ZR, both higher marks than FL Tyler Soderstrom, who he replaces. Jorge Posada's still on the roster, but his time is numbered as I'm targeting BaL Lucroy and should have him within the first month. Also not making the cut is RF Bobby Abreu (SE 85). There can only be 1 poor fielding bat and this season it's going to be Harry Heilmann. Replacing Abreu is Danny Green (SS 81). Although he has a poor Outfield Arm at 35, his Range is at 93.
Abreu leaves the Hosts after playing 355 games in 3 seasons, slashing .284 / .380 / .415, amassing a 7.0 WAR. He scored 244 runs and driving in 149 playing primarily at the top of the order.
