Wes Fitzgibbons breaks the string by drawing a leadoff walk! A wild pitch sends him to 2nd! Tim Dawson beats out an infield hit! Tom Walker flies out to deep left and Fitzgibbons tags up and scores. Tie Game: 1 to 1! With 2 outs, we finally get more than a bunt hit and an infield single when Jack Washburn homers to right!! 3 to 1, Jays!
In the bottom of the 7th, we finally see Sergio Acevedo as a pinch-hitter, but he strikes out!

Brian Bowden and Ken Yockey lead off with back to back hits! PH Chuck Corrigan (31-R) lines out to center and the next two make outs.......

New Pitcher: Brent Piorkowski (25-R), who gave us a run in 1.2 innings on Monday. Tom Walker walks on 4 pitches, steals 2nd and goes to 3rd when C Shigeru Nagata throws the ball away! Dave Bess swings at a 3-2 pitch and lines out to left and Walker tags up and beats the throw home. 4 to 1, Jays!

On the Hill: John Austin (23-R), after a perfect 8th. Bob Hutson, who struck out as a pinch-hitter last inning, stays in to catch. With 1 out, Gus Milam bloops the first pitch to right center for a hit.... The Bullpen gets up. Bob Marks grounds into a force at 2nd, 1-6. PH Lee Dean (34-R), 0 for 3 with 2 walks this series, pops a 3-2 pitch up to shallow left, but SS Brian Bowden drops the ball for an error.... Bowden does not make a lot of errors, but they always seem to come at the worst times...... RF Sergio Acevedo lines a hit to left to load the bases up with 2 outs....... Call to the Bullpen: Jack Barber (33-R). 3B Randy Ingersoll (24-R), a rookie who is 3 for 7 this series, pops one up to short and Brian Bowden holds on to it this time and THIS Ball Game Belongs to the Jays!
