The game comes with historical lineups and transactions (including trades and injuries, but not minor league promotions and demotions), which can be enabled when you replay a season. For single-season replays, I prefer to adjust the import settings (first page of the historical setup wizard): adjust/weaken ABs: 150/50; adjust/weaken IPs: 30/10. Once I create a league, I then disable some options, such as: owner goals, coaching system, personality ratings, team chemistry, and player morale. Be sure to choose from among the box score, game log, recap, WPA graph, and highlight options (according to preference).

What if you start out with the intentions of doing a single season and then decide you want to continue on to the next season and so on. Your settings should still work, right?
