I've not played historical simulations on OOTP to date. After purchasing OOTP 22, I find myself interested in replaying the 1958 season and specifically targeting the Los Angeles Dodgers. What should I do to capture the most authentic replay possible. Has anyone used baseball reference. com to employ real lineups on a day to day basis? Does the game do that for you or merely provide a roster and suggest a lineup which you can then change? Are the trades, injuries, etc. similar to what really transpired? I would really appreciate hearing from those of you who enjoy the historical simulations, specifically those targeting a specific year.
