Another week, another content stream, another round of pack opening.
The highlight of the week for Cedar Rapids took place a few days ago with the arrival of former Cardinal Frankie Frisch. Frisch took over 2B duties from Adam Kennedy. Kennedy was moved off the active roster, and his fate with the organization remains uncertain. Cedar Rapids also signed former Reds pitcher Pete Donohue, keeping with the growing red hat theme.
In other news Texarkana is the latest team faced with the question of deciding the fate of a recent arrival to the team. The evening saw the organization get the rights to outfielder Turkey Stearnes. Turkey is commanding good money in the auction house though, so they must decide whether to play him or send him on his way in exchange for a nice bump to the bank balance.
In league play Texarkana continues to hold a narrow division lead in the AC West, while Paxville continues to lead the NC Central by 14 games. It looks like Cedar Rapids will have an important 3 games series tomorrow when they travel to Cary, with a chance for Cary to catch Cedar Rapids if they stumble.
