In the top of the fifth, Eckstein got an RBI double to break the scoreless tie. Molina brought Eckstein home from third with a single. Molina went on to score from third when Figgins grounded to second. Guerrero delivered a two-out RBI single to complete the four-run inning.
In the bottom of the sixth, Mike Young put the Rangers on the board with a 412 foot
solo home run.

In the top of the ninth, with a runner on first and one out, Erasmo Ramirez took the mound for the Rangers. Quinlan got an RBI double. DaVanon added an RBI single.
In the bottom of the ninth, with a runner on first and one out, Kevin Gregg took the mound for the Angela. Eric Young got a two-out RBI single. With runners at first and second and two out, Francisco Rodriguez took the mound for the Angels and got Fullmer to ground out to end the game.
The Angels got 11 hits in the win.
