Well, I know it NEEDS to be fixed in the next patch. This is a game stopper for me. I'll continue to hold off on starting a saved game that matters to me until this is adjusted/corrected.
It's strange. After the initial release, there was a thread (in the bugs forum I think) about how players weren't developing yada, yada, yada.
So when I started my first save, I bumped up player development to 1.150 based on that. Obviously that would just exascerbate the problem based on the examples posted in this thread.
I have seen players with only A ball experience promoted to the MLB rosters early in 2021, so it's happening early as well as in subsequent seasons.
I just find it mind-boggling that the two threads were polar opposites of one another.
I know that in past versions of OOTP, a lot of us felt young players weren't developing quickly enough to reflect the realities of RL baseball in 2021, and that RL prospects today were a little more polished than the OOTP draft classes.
So obviously the devs made adjustments in this area in this version and hopefully it's just a matter of toning them down to bring them closer to reality.
Easy for me to say, though. I know nothing about programming.
But one can hope.
