We’ll get a much-needed respite from the grind and a morning left to our own devices before meeting back up at SeaTac to embark on the 5+ hour flight to Boston where we’ll be for four days enjoying the chowder, local hospitality, and playing a little ball before heading south to Houston for four more games. So, a nice little 8 game road trip where will have our every whim cared for and live free from the distractions of home… or, something along those lines. I made sure to pack my New Edition T-Shirt – it’ll give off an old-school native vibe to keep the naysayers and Sox faithful at bay should they notice me during my early morning migas questing.
Elsewhere: Arizona’s David Peralta went 2 for 4 with a homer, 3 RBI, a run, and a free pass during the D’backs’ convincing 5-2 win over the Queen City Reds in the first game of their double-header. Meanwhile, Cincy’s Jonathan India smashed a walk-off, GRAND SLAM during the nightcap to secure the 5-3 win for the Reds – and he did it as a late-game pinch hitter. If any moment called for the MLB to get in on the Top Shot craze, this would be it.
