Despite the image in the OP, you need Overall checked on the General tab of the filter, or the program will crash.

Also, on line 64 of generate_splits.py ["cid"] needs to be ["CID"]. I've submitted a pull request but in the meantime I'm putting this here so people can fix it themselves.
