These decisions also depend on where you are as a team. Are you in a win now mode and challenging for a divsion title? You may want to wait as you could see these guys struggle initially. If your team is struggling and not going to the playoffs this year, better to get these guys started.
I am still in June and 6 games back so still in the hunt. I have had some big players not playing up to their potential (Carlson (.240) and Lindor (.229)).

I have pitchers with good ratings having off years so far (Gallegos had a 1.85 ERA last year in 63 appearances and a 7.79 this year in 22 appearances - OUCH)

I just now made an offer to a hitting coach that is Legendary at Teach Hitting, Outstanding at Handles Development, and Excellent at Influences Mechanics. I'll toss Jeff Albert out with the trash if the new guy accepts.
