Today was marked with a variety of things

The Colorado Rockies destroyed the Billings Beacons today 15-1 as star player Harry Lumley hit for the cycle. Lumley has had a junior year slump after 2 dynamic seasons as the first place Rockies wrecked Billings ace Don Sutton for 8 earned runs. Richard Hidalgo contributed with 2 homers and 4 RBI's. Tex Shirley walked away with his 7th win of the season. Lumley said after the game "We are tired of everyone calling us chokers, we mean business this year, the clubhouse knows we have a lot to prove"

New York Yankee catcher and Replacements lead singer may have been intoxicated when he argued a third strike in a game against the Delaware Big Train today. Whatever he said to the ump, got him a 4 game suspension. The one time golden glove backstop was unsure what happened "I dunno man, just thought the ball was outside and told the umpire that he was a dumb mf.. guess that gets you the boot these days"

The Cuomos keep getting themselves dealt. Today the El Paso Grizzlies shipped Chris Cuomo of CNN fame to the Charlotte Spiders along with catcher Matt Walbeck and obtained back from Charlotte, Travis Dawkins and Nyls Nyman. Charlotte is in 7th place and acquiring a veteran starting pitcher does not make much sense. El Paso just wanted to get that name off of the jersey. Cuomo is dealt only a few days earlier his brother was dealt from Aruba to Philadelphia. Cuomo said this as he boarded a plane to Charlotte "You know it is part of the game. I guess they were not happy that my derriere ended up on a zoom call again, but you know what El Paso's loss is Charlotte's gain, brother"
