The stupid high strikeout rates may be partially due to baseballs doing crazy **** as then come up on the plate, in addition to players swing from the heels in huge uppercuts. It is in MLB's interest to reduce the amount of illegal substances placed on baseballs...and MLB doesn't much care for Bauer, and would likely enjoy putting him onto a bonfire and lighting a match.
