1925 SEASON PREVIEW
Boston Red Sox: a long list of minor moves, but none of interest
Boston Braves: they did an interesting trade, acquiring 1B Lu Blue from Tigers in exchange of 2B Hod Ford. Also to note the arrival of SP Jack Wisner and C Roy Spencer from Phillies for H. Fleming (C) and Johnny Cooney (SP)
Brooklyn Robins: a busy off-season for them, there 3 trades to note:
1) Acquired RP Hal Carlson from Pittsburgh for C Chris Kuel
2) Acquired 2B Hughie Critz and LF Fred Schulte from St. Louis Athletics in exchange of SP James Edwards
3) Acquired CF Robert Thompson from Cleveland for RP Ole Olsen
Chicago White Sox: many minor moves
Chicago Cubs: they acquired a veteran reliever, Phil Douglas, from Pittsburgh giving up two minor leaguers.
Cincinnati Reds: the only significant move was a trade built around RP Charlie Root, who came in town with 2B Otto Miller from New York Giants in exchange of CF Wid Matthews and minor leaguer.
Cleveland Indians: they added some veteran arms to the bullpen, but nothing great
Detroit Tigers: the only move was the trade with Brooklyn, which saw 2B Hod Ford coming to Detroit
New York Yankees: they tried to boost the rotation adding Roy Walker from Phillies in exchange of 2 minor leagues catchers
