Amazing read. Thank you. Maybe this is why I created a team to run in the Atlantic League (my sons are listed as Owner, GM, and Field Manager, respectively) and sign some of my favorite washed-up MLB players, to give them one last chance in an independent league. So yeah, sentimental about real players in a fictional season.
