Carty could flat out hit! He was a Phillies killer, and I think our pitching contributed to him winning the batting title in 1970 at .366, after hitting .342 the year before. And you're right, he only was a catcher for 17 games in 1966 per Baseball Reference, but he did throw out 50% of runners trying to steal, lol.
