It takes quite a bit of time to figure out what positions are available. And I had one draft where I didn't get a 1B option between rounds 4 and 13; since I elected not to use one of my round 4 picks, I ended up with an iron platoon at 1B.


If there was some consistency involved (there are alternatives to what I propose here), then the drafts would have a higher strategic component rather than a high luck component.
Inconsistency is the point. Its supposed to be random and create interesting choices as you progress through the draft. Not take that big 1B in round 2? You might end up with an iron.

A cookie-cutter, copy/paste format is not what we are going for here.

That being said, we have already tweaked the coding to give a bit more balance between positions, especially in the later rounds
