I acquired a good 27 year old power pitcher (former Cy Young winner) who has a career K/9 of 9.1 over 1000 IP, which is backed up by good stuff, velocity and three elite pitches.

So far this year (71 IP) his K/9 is 6.5 and he is struggling mightily. Early on I felt like it was a cold streak but I’m at the point where I’m wondering what could be wrong? Is it possible that he has lost stuff and my scout just hasn’t seen it yet? Or is my scout telling me it’s a cold steak and he will bounce back?
