Looking at my last few full-season tests, the goal leaders for defencemen are pretty much in the right range, a leader in the low 20's and the rest of the top 10 in the teens. Might be slightly low after than, but not by more than about half a goal or so for the average defenceman. Makar had 14 goals in the one I just checked, so if he's getting significantly less than that in another game, that's either extremely bad luck or a team that's using him in a way that's not going to get him as many goals.
