I was really hoping to see some improvement to the scouting in Canadian Junior with the specific notes in the changelist.
My large staff still only scouted about 45-50 players eligible for the draft and I think that most, if not all, were players who I manually added to the watch list. In June, when my Head Scout provided his top 20 for the upcoming draft, more than half were players with an E scouting level.
The other problem is there continues to be only a handful of players with good potential and about 20 players in the class who have the potential to develop into useful roster players.
There seems to be no improvement at all on this system since I raised these issues January and was told adjustments were being made to fix it. I will continue to say it until it isn’t true; these leagues continue to be unplayable due to a broken scouting system and lack of decent player generation.
I am not sure what is the point of noting changes in the changelist when it’s clear no testing is being done to verify they are leading to improved results.
