It would have been pretty cool IMO to allow for pinch hitting earlier and keep the pseudo alive. Then you have a mind game between managers trying to out-strategize each other. Now it's just going to be less dynamic, more straightforward.
Btw I didn't pseudo a single game in PT21. This is not coming from a "you're taking away my edge!" place at all. I just think having more strategic options and counter-abilities makes the game more interesting.
