Okay, but when you get through the 1980 season and moved into the offseason, have you went to the games historical section and checked your league's career leaderboard? Since OOTP16, I've never been able to use the erase all stats function with any success ever. What happens to me is, all the stats get set to zero. I play out the first season/post season and proceed to the offseason. Then, if I check my league's career leaderboard in the historical section, I always end up with a handful of players that have more than a season worth of stats. For example, if I look at my career leader in hits, the leader may have 1050, When I click on the player shown with 1050 hits, I will see its a guy that missed the season I just finished in real life, but returned for the season I'm about to play. This returning player comes back with all his career stats.
I actually tried this again over the weekend. Started in 1976. Erased all stats and simmed the 76 season. Before the offseason draft, I checked the leagues career leaderboard. Davey Johnson led in almost every offensive category. Sure enough, in real life, Davey Johnson didn't play in 1976 and returned to action in 1977. When he returned, he had all his stats from 1965-1975.
I would give anything if I could find a way to make erasing all stats work, but I just can't seem to find it.
