I just released my favorite player and am wondering who else has ever released a player with more than 1 year left on their contract. He was owed $5 million this year, $8 M next and $10M the final year. 3b still solid on D but was struggling offensively and with having 2 1b and another player coming off the DL tomorrow i could not find a trade partner.Now i'm looking at unloading high contract aging players so i have more $$ for arbitration eligible players next season. My team is going to be broke for years.
