Oh my!
Ouch.
So he gave the Yankees one season's worth of starts (34) over the first 3 years of the contract (combined 4.5 WAR), then morphed into a mid-reliever and gave them a grand total of 111 mediocre innings out of the bullpen over the next 4 years (combined -0.1 WAR).
My goodness, New York could have paid any chump the ML minimum salary over his BP years and likely would have gotten better results.
When I close my eyes, I can just picture and hear the reaction of Yankee fans every time he entered the game....and I love it!
