Glasgow as in Scotland? (Sorry, silly question, I know.)
This is one of the places on the planet I feel very drawn to but have never visited. My fixation is probably largely fueled by my love for the music of Glaswegian bands and musicians like The Blue Nile, Aztec Camera, Orange Juice (and the solo work of Edwyn Collins), Belle & Sebastian, Lloyd Cole (with or without the Commotions), the Pastels, Teenage Fanclub, Mark Knopfler, Deacon Blue, and, perhaps to a somewhat lesser extent, Franz Ferdinand, Simple Minds, and the Jesus and Mary Chain.
(EDIT: Oops- forgot Camera Obscura and Chvrches. And here I am such a geek that I couldn't resist the urge to add them here.)
I figure that any city that produces so many musicians whose music speaks to my soul has to be my kind of town.
(Apologies for the geeky musical list. Any mention of Glasgow tends to get me a bit excited.)
