We are in New Orleans to finish up the regular season with a 3 game series over the weekend. The Pelicans just split 4 games in Orlando. We are 8-3 against them on the season and split a pair of games the last time we were here, June 29-30. They are 12th in scoring with 3.77 runs per game (Jacksonville is #3 with 4.48). The Pelicans are 10th in fewest runs allowed with 4.09 per game (Jacksonville is #2 with 3.51). There is little chance of us moving from those spots. Their run differential is -51, 11th in the MLB, and ours is +155, 2nd to Ottawa's +170.

Jacksonville Jays (102-57 .642 11 GA in 1st place in the Southern Division) at
New Orleans Pelicans (70-89 .440 32 GB in 7th place in the Southern Division)

JAX: Ernesto Noyola (26-R) (14-6 3.97 ERA 154.1 IP, 157 H, 11 HR, 41 BB, 106 SO)
NO: Dennis Farmer (28-R) (7-5 3.25 ERA 119 IP, 116 H, 16 HR, 46 BB, 61 SO)

Noyola gave up 2 runs on 4 hits, 1 home run and 3 walks with 5 strikeouts in 8 innings last time out in a win versus Birmingham. We have had some pleasant surprises in our rotation this season, but none more surprising than Noyola. He was 3-12 with a 6.60 ERA for Daytona (A) last year and now he is going for his 15th win of the season in the MLB!

Farmer is 1-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 2 starts against the Jays this season. 11.1 IP, 16 H, 3 HR, 6 BB, 4 SO.
