Fan Appreciation Day!
The final regular season home game of 2005.
I would sure like to end the home stand with a win and go 14-0 against the Mules on the season.
Memphis Mules (62-96 .392 40 GB in 8th (last) place in the Southern Division) at
Jacksonville Jays (102-56 .646 10.5 GA in 1st place in the Southern Division)
MEM: Rick Potts (26-R) (1-0 3.32 ERA 21.2 IP, 15 H, 4 HR, 2 BB, 23 SO) All-Star(3: 02,04-05)
JAX: Tommy Keyser (26-L) (11-4 2.73 ERA 142 IP, 121 H, 10 HR, 40 BB, 91 SO) Rookie
This will Potts' first start since May. He has pitched no rehab assignment. He is 5-1 with a shutout in 11 career starts against the Jays with a 2.77 ERA. 74.2 IP, 60 H, 6 HR, 19 BB, 64 SO. We can only hope he is rusty.
Keyser gave up 3 runs on 8 hits, 1 home run and 2 walks with 6 strikeouts in 7.2 innings last time out in a no decision versus Birmingham that we lost in 10 innings. He has had 4 straight no decisions.
