I am not sure if I can make adjustments during the season, but I am not at all happy with the offensive output of a new independent league when it comes to base hits and runs scored.
The league is new in my universe, and I gave it a League Reputation of 2 expecting the players to be good enough for this league, but mostly not good enough to move to the main league. Therefore, even the best players in this league are in the 20s overall for their ratings.
My problem is that offensive output is way below what I am hoping for versus the equally poor pitching, with a grand total of three players hitting over .300 and 20 players over .200.
This is what I wanted based on my league settings:
This is what I am getting 22 games into an 84-game season:
This last boxscore gave me my final "ugh" moment of the inaugural season:
Please let me know IF I can tweak things to increase offensive output now. Also, if I can, please tell me HOW to properly start getting players to hit closer to the mean of .248.
