8 May 2299 - Part 1: Nuka-Town USA
2050-2077: Bradberton's Childhood Dream Come True
According to a terminal, "The nucleus of the Nuka-World amusement park, Nuka-Town USA opened on May 1, 2050, alongside Kiddie Kingdom. Nuka-World's opening day saw tremendous success with over 40,000 tickets sold. Due to the overwhelming success, plans to expand Nuka-World were immediately set in motion. The locale hosted several attractions for families, including eateries like Cappy's Cafe, the Fizztop Mountain and Grille, and The Parlor, as well as the Bradberton Amphitheater for a variety of shows, and the Cola-cars arena and Nuka-Cade for more interactive entertainment. Nuka-Town was also the site of the personal office of Mr. John-Caleb Bradberton, the inventor of Nuka-Cola."
2077-2288: The Gangs All Here and Operation Open Season
Of course, not much happened in Nuka-World or Nuka-Town USA immediately following the bombs, but in time, Nuka-Town USA became a free trade center that caught the attention of a union of gangs.
According to a terminal, "Nuka-Town became the center of activity in the valley after the Great War, housing its market and living quarters of the traders who chose it as their home. After 2286 and Colter's forcible takeover of the area, it is still the center of life, except with raiders (the Operators, Disciples, and The Pack) at the top and the enslaved former denizens at the bottom.
"The gangs enslaved the settlement's residents with the use of shock collars, forcing them to carry out the manual labor around the park. However, once their takeover was complete, Overboss Colter, the confederation's leader, caused the gang's expansion to stagnate and remained mostly within the confines of Nuka-Town USA and their respective camps. Seeking to expand their reach, and each trying to gain more power over the other two, the leaders of the gangs, and Colter's second-in-command Porter Gage conspired to seek an outside party to take over the raider gangs and lead them to conquer."
That "party" happened to be a living god, Nate Howard. Except, Howard was not at all what Porter Gage imagined him to be. Instead of becoming the leader of the gangs after deposing and disposing of Overboss Colter, the new overboss put his ultimate plan in to play: Operation Open Season.
With the help of enslaved Dr. Mackenzie Bridgeman and former Gunner Commander Kaylor, inside information from Sierra Petrovita-Bradberton, and the conversion of raider insiders Porter Gage, Shank, and Katelyn Alden, Howard devised his plan to either murder or capture all gang leaders of the three factions.
Two of the gang leaders immediately converted, influenced by Howard's strength of character and convinced many in their gang to give up their raider ways. Those two were siblings Mags and William Black of the Operators. They proved invaluable in Howard's hunt after he promised them immunity from punishment by the Brotherhood of Steel or Howard's army. They also convinced their personal chemist Lizzie Wyath to convert, a valuable commodity for John-Caleb Bradberton's restructuring of the new Nuka-Cola brand.
Mason, leader of the Pack, was the toughest to convert, and Howard could not intimidate him. Mason and the Pack all fought against Howard. Luckily, they did not know that Howard was acting independently of the gangs, so they assumed the other two factions were against them, making the defeat of both the Pack and the dangerous Disciples easier.
Howard killed Savoy of the Disciples, and former slaves captured and collared the leader Nisha and her main assassin Dixie. Those two have since been tried and sent to Parsons State Insane Asylum to participate in a mental reprogramming experiment called the "Ludovico Technique."
2288-2299: After Open Season
In addition to ridding Nuka-Town USA of its gang problem, Howard also cleared out all other parks of their pest problems. He then reestablished power to all parks, allowing Nuka-World to become a beacon of light (and security) in the Commonwealth.
Now Cappy's Cafe, Bradberton Ampitheater, the Cola-cars arena, Fizztop Grille, Fizztop Mountain, the Nuka-Cade, the Parlor, and Nuka-Town Market bring joy daily to both parents and kids in the good ole Nuka-Town USA.
