I like seeing how the 1870s guys do in random debut leagues and modern leagues, because the top players were so much better than the average ones that they seem like they'd have insanely good ratings. This current league is the best McVey has ever done in my league though - in the last 1870s replay league I did (about 7-8 years ago), McVey was the first prominent player to be felled by a career-ending injury, in 1876 or 1877.

I've had George Davis in my team for the past few seasons but just traded him to the Yanks. Dan Brouthers is just coming up but isn't projecting as well as I'd thought he would. Ross Barnes is in it and doing well (9 WAR last season).
