What’s the best way to get salaries to work where all “really good” players aren’t asking for $40-$50mil/season? I tried to put on a salary cap, but players still ask for it and it just screws over teams. I’ve also tried to change the “projected pay” for different types of stars... and it doesn’t seem to function properly.

I’ve also had it where I offer a player significantly less than his ask, he hates it, but then signs with another team for cheaper anyway.
