2060-2077: Nuka-World's Shanty Town
In 2060, the world was in turmoil. The European Commonwealth left the European Commonwealth-Middle East War and immediately began their own Civil War, jumping back into tribal factions such as France, Germany, and Italy. It seemed the world was falling apart, and it was only 17 years until that would be true.
However, in a small hamlet just northeast of the Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant, Nuka-Cola and Nuka-World owner, John-Caleb Bradberton had a plan to create a town dedicated to his employees so that they had a place to go, to live, to settle in relation to Nuka-World. He built up the land into a small town he called Bradberton.
Bradberton served as an informal shanty town in its early days due to Bradberton paying well below the standard rate of living to be above the poverty line of $350,000 per year. In time, residents of the town started to make money through their own off-season adventures, setting up miniature casinos, brothels, and bars. The offseason crew was unofficially known for its special deals as the Commonwealth Combo, or the CoCo. When wealthy travelers went to the bar or motel in Bradberton and asked about or for "Coco," the Bradberton residents knew they had a nice payday coming.
John-Caleb Bradberton did not seem to care what his crew did on their own time as long as they played their parts in Nuka-World. So what if Cowboy Billy of Dry Rock Gulch had special time with the First Lady? Or if Princess Cola entered the suite of the CEO of Poseidon Energy? As long as the fantasies in the park were maintained, the fantasies out of the park were fair game to keep the best of the park staff intact.
2077??-2288: Ghoulsville
A city of feral ghouls. The town was overrun with the beasts of former human with withered minds occupying the streets and every building of the town. None of the factioned gangs, caravaneers, or Gunners would dare enter the town for fear of the hordes.
One brave soul in search of a woman named Rachel did dare enter the town. And like he had done in the Commonwealth, the Sole Survivor rid the town of its deadly foes and made it a place of sanctuary for the former slaves as he went through his plans for Operation Open Season. That man, of course, is Nate Howard, for whom we can thank for our freedom and this newfound league of baseball in and around Bradberton and Nuka-World.
2288-2299: The Rise of the House of Bradberton
After the town became at first a secret location for freed slaves, it later became a fortified one. Nate completed his quest to kill, capture, or convert all of the remaining three factions of the Nuka-World raiders: the Disciples, Operators, and Pack. Then, Bradberton was a place where people could live without fear.
In turn, the former slaves turned the town into a thriving one within the South Central area of Massachusetts in the New England Commonwealth. Small shops were cleaned and repaired, and a thriving, bustling town for trade, relaxation, and settling came to be. Today, the town is again a location for Nuka-World employees who want to live there, though most have built settlements nearer to the parks where they work. Instead, Bradberton is a trade center and a stopover for guests looking to visit the seven Nuka-World locations.
