Monday Morning Report

Player of the Week - Keith Meyer, 3B, Memphis (30-L .285/.366/.417) Had 12 hits with 1 2B, 1 3B, 4 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, 1 CS, 3 R and 8 RBI in 7 G (6 GS) (9th career PoW, 2nd this season)

September 5 - Melvin Brisita (24-R) of Louisville pitched a 3 hit shutout at home versus Indianapolis. He walked 1, hit a batter and struck out 5. It is the 5th shutout of his career. He is now 7-7 with a 4.07 ERA in 17 starts. The Colonels won, 1 to 0, and only had 4 hits themselves.
September 7 - 1B Mike Sammon (26-R) of Richmond went 4 for 4 with a double and a walk, scored a run and had 4 RBI at Hartford. The Robins won, 10 to 8.
September 8 - 2B Buddy Hendricks (26-R) of Rochester had 3 hits with a double and a walk, scored a run and had 5 RBI at home versus Memphis. The Roosters won, 11 to 4.
September 9 - Larry Bowling (27-R) of Providence pitched a 5 hit shutout at Buffalo. He walked 1 and struck out 5. At bat, he had 4 hits with a double and scored 2 runs. It is his 5th shutout of the season and 15th of his career. He is now 17-8 with a 1.86 ERA in 32 starts.
September 10 - CF Sergio Acevedo (31-R) of Birmingham hit his 38th home run of the season, but pulled a muscle and is out for the rest of the season. He finished at .199/.291/.453 in 523 AB with 38 HR, 107 RBI and 18 SB.
