The other was a gold cap and in the final game of the finals my opponent's gold Ichiro had 4% energy and still went 2 for 4 with the a triple and a home run and threw a runner out at the plate.
I know an update earlier this year made it so pitchers with 0% energy are worse, it should be the same way for position players.

So many shrug your shoulders answers to valid questions like this. Like the complaint of why are so many pitchers & batters so crappy compared to the real life stats. I always here the reason of great pitchers facing great hitters...well that don't make sense when you have some players doing great beyond their real life stats....Everything about PT is so off..IE a player striking out more in one season than he did in whole career...or Barry Bonds has to play every season in PT to come close to his HR total while batting .230 along the way....I think for ppl to be satisfied all cards should be nameless or fictional so we not hung up on Real Life Names & what their should be stats
