Let me put on my Professor Advice hat on for a bit, if I may, Eugene. Maybe what I have to say here will be worth considering, in terms of the future of your version of the IPA, or not. But please still consider my suggestions, as you like and all, anyway.
Now you feel you can't keep doing things like you have been doing them in the past, with the IPA and/or other leagues, evidently. Then perhaps you are right in that certain things need to change in relation to them, due to your age and other possible concerns.
You have a dedicated following for the IPA, and I'm sure there are more than enough people here on the forums who consistently read that dynasty report whenever something new is up for it. Including me, of course, among many others.
Here is what I think I would do, if I were in your position as it may currently stand now, Eugene. But, of course, you don't have to do these things as suggested if you really don't want to.
First, once the awards are all distributed for both leagues as needed, ask around, and see if anyone might be interested in taking over some of the workload for any of the current IPA franchises, if not all of it, in terms of running the teams. If anyone is, then investigate the possibility of turning the league into an online league, much like legendsports did, I believe, with the FABL online league setup once enough league-related history had been built up. There are now several people doing reports related to the teams they now run with their organizations and all, of course.
Second, if and when they express interest in taking over said team or teams, perhaps that would allow you to step back, and basically prepare the new players for each new season, once a draft process has been decided upon and all, with appropriate rules and all for said draft process, for instance. You could set the necessary rules for the league setup, and all, and then let others take things from there.
Third, once others are sufficiently in control of any teams they may take over, they could then handle things related to team branding and other appropriate matters, within reasonable limits agreed on by everyone who takes over an IPA team and/or its reserve/minor league roster, in the future. Once that happens, if it does in at least one case, if not more than one, then you won't necessarily have to spend so much time, probably, in terms of requesting updates for your IPA's teams, of course.
Once most team-related matters are under other people's control, you could basically collate all the information about the teams better that others come up with, or their players, and do something along the lines like you might want to do better, sort of like how legendsports is handling things with the Figment Universe details and all, I think.
There's many possibilities for the IPA that could likely open up if you do any or all of these things I'm suggesting here. You could even choose your favorite team out of all the IPA teams in its known history, and run it as you see fit, of course.
Please think about all these suggestions here and all, as you like and can, and maybe some people around here would be more than happy to try and help you get IPA seasons done quicker around here, in the future. Okay, Eugene?
Now doffing Professor Advice hat. Hope the IPA continues for many more seasons, whether it ends after 100 seasons or not, of course, Eugene. Lord willing and all, obviously, that is. CD out.
