Longtime rivals St. Dominic and Guedon met in an early season showdown for the top spot in the South Island Supreme League and the Saints beat the Gators 11-8 in a slugfest at St. Dominic Field... the Saints have won both clashes this season and now sport a one-game lead over the Gators... Bar Harbor whipped Meraux 5-2 despite setting a league record for strikeouts... Tiger pitcher Floyd Duncan fanned 12 Acadians and still lost the game.
