July 18 - Mike Gallegos (31-R) of Memphis pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Buffalo. He walked 5 and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. It is the 1st shutout of his career. He is now 1-5 with a 4.45 ERA in 10 starts. The Mules won, 5 to 0.
July 19 - Juan Ledesma (33-R) of Ottawa pitched a 3 hit shutout at home versus Louisville. He walked 2 and struck out 6. It is his 3rd shutout of the season and 15th of his career. He is now 13-6 with an MLB leading 1.80 ERA in 22 starts. The Otters won, 2 to 0.
July 19 - CF Steve Gress (34-L) of Memphis went 4 for 4 with a double and 2 home runs, stole a base, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBI at home versus Buffalo. The Mules won, 10 to 1.
July 20 - Larry Bowling (27-R) of Providence pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Charlotte. He walked 1 and struck out 7. At bat, he had a hit and a walk and 2 RBI. It is his 3rd shutout of the season and 14th of his career. He is now 10-7 with a 2.03 ERA in 22 starts. The Steamrollers won, 5 to 0.
July 20 - Mike Marsh (24-R) of Memphis, the ex-Jay, pitched a 3 hit shutout at home versus Buffalo. He walked 1 and struck out 6. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. It is his 2nd shutout of the season (1st with the Mules) and 6th of his career. He is now 13-5 with a 2.56 ERA in 19 starts. The Mules won, 4 to 0.
July 21 - CF Victor Ocasio (29-R) of New Orleans went 2 for 2 with a triple and a home run, drew 2 walks, scored 2 runs and had 7 RBI at home versus Rochester. The Pelicans won, 10 to 9.
July 22 - Hartford lost 3-time All-Star and 2003 Silver Slugger CF Mike Fox (26-L) for the rest of the season with a broken bone in his elbow. He was hitting .247/.305/.406 in 377 AB with 10 HR and 32 RBI and 21 SB.
July 24 - Terry Luckett (30-L) of Columbus pitched a 5 hit shutout at Buffalo. he walked 1 and struck out 6. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. It is his 2nd shutout of the season and the 15th of his career. He is now 7-10 with a 3.25 ERA in 22 starts. The worst season ERA of his career was 2.69 when he went 19-10 in 2002. Last year, he was 22-6 with a 1.99 ERA. The Explorers won, 4 to 0.
July 24 - Orlando lost 2-time All-Star(04-05) LF Ricky Perez (25-L) for 5 weeks with a pulled ab. He is batting .305/.377/.534 in 367 AB with 21 HR and 52 RBI and 14 SB.
