Despite a subpar performance in Spring Training, Lee Maye has made the Twins opening day roster as the backup CF! He will also pinch hit and provide depth at LF, RF, and DH. He will earn a salary of $52,800 for the year and will wear #18. The Twins are not expected to be competitive this year, so I'm more focused on Maye's individual performance than team success this season.
21-year-old Mike Dornan will start the year with the AA Amarillo Gold Sox, still working his way through the Padres organization. He will play RF and bat third.
Chad Slusar, now age 25, will also start in AA, with the Charlotte O's. He's expected to bat 8th and play LF.
Qualls, Bridges, and Warnke will all start with rookie teams.
