Just curious as to how many who are manually playing games move the defense (shift left, outfield very deep, etc.) and, if so, notice any beneficial results.

I have the AI set the initial defense, but I'll often see a left-handed power hitter who is labeled an extreme pull hitter (for whom I'll set the infield as Hard Shift Right), only to see the outfield preset by the AI (apparently) the other way. Is that because the spray charts indicate most of his long balls go "oppo"? Sometimes I'll go an entire game without moving the infield or outfield and have success, only to do what seems indicated but get burned. One of those "That's baseball" moments?

Any observations or suggestions will be appreciated.
