Agreed, and I also think this tracks with the way the MLB draft is becoming more of an event and much more analysis has grown up around it for several years now. While it still doesn't have the cache an NFL or NBA draft do, I think it is headed more in that direction. A challenge of course is how many more rounds are involved and the fact that even the highest picked players aren't in a position to make an impact on the big league squad right away, but I think for at least the first round there could be an optional draft screen with more fanfare and draft chat (I find myself thinking about the way Draft Day Pro Basketball handles this as an example.)

And perhaps some post-draft analysis (similar to what I am seeing is in the latest version of FHM) of which teams are considered to have had the best drafts, which the worst, that sort of thing.
