Focus on the question guys
The "replay mode" as it now stands is ok if your only interested in playing "one" season worth of baseball and not interested in accumulating "all-time" stats.
What I'm proposing is that this mode be expanded to give us the "option" of playing in a "career mode" like way where we may elect to play multiple seasons and accumulate and maintain the "stat" results of our play. However, unlike "career mode" the "real stats" would be keep in tack. That way, historical buffs can always refer to the "real" season and make adjustments or change players or change lineups or change a players team.
Also, maybe there should be another "option" in the "replay mode" to allow or disallow for aging, retirement, and development. But again, the "real stats" are preserved for reference to their historical content and accuracy.
