"I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Tumbleson said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there."

This year Tumbleson has fashioned a 2-0 mark, 0.33 ERA and pitched 27.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .212 against him and he has logged 28 strikeouts.

26 July 2298 - Egret Wins, Danse has 3 hit night

Bill Chaney, the 26-year old center fielder, had a direct impact on the outcome. Chaney contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Egret up, 2-0.

26 July 2298 - Silver Shroud Win, 5-4, Versus Witch Hats

Fort Hagen starter Derek Green pitched well against the Salem Witch Hats at Hubris Comics Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. Curtis Thriceshot notched his 27th save in 28 chances. The triumph puts Fort Hagen at 44-35 for the season.

Jim Tiller had a timely hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the Fort Hagen first baseman hit a 2-run single. That put the Silver Shroud in front, 5-4.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Green said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."

Paul Grog of the Shroud was suspended for 2 games today by the league office for "inappropriate actions" during the game. He was ejected in the 8th inning for arguing a call after he struck out on a called third strike. His manager had to physically restrain the Silver Shroud catcher. Bixton Moore caught the 9th inning.

"You get caught up in the situation, emotions. No grudges, you move on," Grog said in the clubhouse after the game, while talking to reporters about the suspension.

26 July 2298 - Synths Sneak Past Party Boys, 6-5, in 12

Super Duper Mart Stadium was host to some action-packed drama.

The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys got a sterling performance from pitcher Julian Shed, but the Lexington Synths still prevailed, 6-5. Shed threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. The loss makes Nordhagen Beach 50-29. The Synths broke a seven-game losing streak with the upset victory.

The Synths procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter T.J. Craighead. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Craighead.
