Player of the Week - Stan Stephens, 3B, Birmingham (27-R .318/.362/.419) Had 12 hits with 2 HR, 4 BB, 1 SO, 2 SB, 0 CS, 8 R and 8 RBI in 6 G (3rd career PoW)

May 3 - Buffalo lost P Ron Wisham (34-L) for 3 to 4 months with a partially torn labrum. He was the 2002 Ace Award and Hurler Trophy winner while with Syracuse. He was 1-1 with a 2.75 ERA in 3 starts this season.
May 3 - 2B Ray Holloway (31-R) of Richmond had 4 hits with a double and a home run, scored 2 runs and had 4 RBI at Orlando. The Robins won, 12 to 2, and had 18 hits. Through 27 games, they are hitting .317 as a team!
May 4 - 3B Stan Stephens (27-R) of Birmingham had 4 hits and a walk and scored 4 runs at New Orleans. The Barons won, 12 to 2.
May 5 - Tim Hill (27-L) of Ottawa pitched a 3 hit shutout at Louisville. He walked no one, but hit a batter and struck out 7. At bat, he drew a walk. It is the 9th shutout of his career. He is now 5-1 with a 2.47 ERA in 7 starts. The Otters won, 5 to 0.
May 5 - 3B Stan Stephens (27-R) of Birmingham had 3 hits with a Grand Slam, scored 2 runs and had 6 RBI at home versus Indianapolis. The Barons won, 13 to 5.
May 6 - Benedict Hughes (25-L) of Rochester pitched a 3 hit shutout at home versus New Orleans. He walked 6 and struck out 7. 143 pitches thrown. It is his 2nd shutout of the season and 4th of his career. He is now 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA in 7 starts. The Roosters won, 8 to 0.
May 6 - Larry Bowling (26-R) of Providence pitched a no-hitter at Charlotte. he walked 1 and struck out 6. It is the 5th no-hitter in MLB history and the 1st in 2005. It is the 12th shutout of his career. He is now 2-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 7 starts. The Steamrollers won, 2 to 0, and only had 2 hits themselves.
May 7 - Rookie Mike Menefee (25-L) of Richmond pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Columbus. He walked 5 and struck out 3. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. It is the 2nd shutout of his career. He is now 4-0 with a 1.71 ERA in 5 starts (6 G). The Robins won, 8 to 0.
May 8 - Larry Thornton (24-L) of Rochester pitched a 2 hit shutout at home versus New Orleans. He walked 2 and struck out 7. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had 2 RBI. It is the 1st shutout of his career. He is now 5-1 with a 1.50 ERA in 7 starts. The Roosters won, 3 to 0, and only had 2 hits themselves.
May 8 - Richmond lost P Sammy Brumley (28-L) for the season with a torn rotator cuff. He was an All-Star in 2001. He was 4-2 this season with a 3.00 ERA in 7 starts.
May 8 - Rookie 1B Bobby Baker (22-R) of Charlotte had 3 hits with a home run and 5 RBI at home versus Providence. The Hornets won, 6 to 3.
