Monday Morning Report

Player of the Week - Dave Behm, SS, Ottawa (28-R .375/.423/.552) Had 11 hits with 3 HR, 5 BB, 4 SO, 0 SB, 1 CS, 5 R and 9 RBI in 6 G

April 26 - LF Ron LeMaster (27-L) of Rochester hit 4 doubles to set a new MLB record, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBI at Providence. The Roosters won, 10 to 7.
April 27 - Antonio Perez (29-L) of Orlando pitched a 5 hit shutout at Louisville. He did not walk a batter and struck out 1. It is his 4th shutout of his career. The Juice won, 7 to 0.
April 30 - LF Terry Graham (25-L) of Charlotte had 3 hits with a home run, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBI at Louisville. RF Rob Worms (32-R) hit his 4th home run of the season in 23 AB and is hitting .261, about 100 points higher than he did for us. He hit 6 HR in 313 AB for the Jays and hit .179. The Hornets won, 11 to 2, and had 19 hits.
May 1 - Bill Cortright (37-R) of Ottawa pitched a 4 hit shutout at Providence. He walked 2 and struck out 6. It is the 15th shutout of his career. The Otters won, 2 to 0, and only had 4 hits themselves.
May 1 - SS Frank Bates (33-R) of Syracuse had 4 hits with 2 home runs and 5 RBI at home versus Rochester. The Sycamores won, 6 to 5, when Bates hit a 2-out solo home run on the bottom of the 9th.
May 1 - Steve Cron (31-L) of Buffalo pitched a 5 hit shutout at Hartford. He did not walk a batter and struck out 2. It is his 2nd shutout of the season and 18th of his career, moving him into sole possession of 2nd place on the all-time list behind Jim Baucom of Jacksonville, who has 19. The Bombers won, 2 to 0.
